It is said that the fathers of John Marshall (Abraham) and Hannah Caldwell
(Vincent) were schoolboys together in England, and traveling "Friends". John
built his colonial home in Chester County, Pennsylvania, near West Chester
about 1737; addition in 1771; was well preserved in 1951. John's home was near
one of the Revolutionary War battle fields -- close to Chadds Ford on the
Brandywine River, and it was said that General Washington used his living room
and equipment for headquarters during a period of the battle.
[14433] Velma Irene McClain was second wife of Grover Gerald Sawyer, m. in 1932
