In May 2009, Elizabeth and I visited Scott and Oksana Sobie and their children who are missionaries in Balki, Ukraine. Elizabeth and I each kept Daily Logs for our two week trip and we took 400+ pictures while we were there. Our main goals during this trip were to visit and minister to Scott and his family. I have several interests and hobbies, these include cooking, flower and vegetable gardening, genealogy, tropical fish, and reading in addition to being active in several areas at church. My great uncle John started our family research and got 2 of my uncles interested. One of my cousins in my generation and I are continuing our families research.

I raise my own seedlings with a growlite I built and have 3 veggie patches and 4 flower gardens around our house, click flower and vegetable gardening to see the layout of my gardens and click Examples of God's Handiwork to see some of the pictures I have taken of my flowers.
 

One of my recipe pages contains the 55+ recipes that I use on a regular basis and the other recipe pages contain the 7,000+ recipes in Meal Master format and 38,000+ in Now Your Cooking format.. Some of the categories available for downloading are:

Important people in American history that are either my direct ancestors or distant cousins include 29 presidents, Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) and John Bartram, Botanist to the King of England who is often called the father of American botany

The 29 presidents that are distant cousins are: John Adams, John Quincy Adams, George Walker Bush, George Herbert Walker Bush, Jimmy Carter, William Jefferson Clinton, Grover Cleveland, Calvin Coolidge, Dwight David Eisenhower, Millard Fillmore, Gerald Rudolph Ford, James Abram Garfield, Ulysses Simpson Grant, Warren Gamaliel Harding, Benjamin Harrison, William Harrison, Rutherford Birchard Hayes, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, James Madison, James Monroe, Richard Milhous Nixon, Franklin Pierce, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, Zachary Taylor, Harry Shipp Truman, and George Washington.

Of them George Washington is the closest relative, he is my 2 cousin, eight times removed.
