Cassius was recorded a minister fo the Friends Church in 1887, and arround
1891 founded and built the Friends church at Lapel. In 1905 he took pastoral
work in Sullivan Co. at Benson Chapel (see articcal in Sullivan Co. In.
History, pub. 1991) and carried on evangellistic efforts in central and
southern In. All the members of the family (except Carrie) were memebers of
Benson Chapel at the time it was set up as a Monthly Meeting of Friend in
June, 1917 (Vid op. cit. p.66). The family moved to Anderson, In. in 1919 and
were been active in the Friends Churches in that vicinity and at the Anderson
Gospel Tabernacle. Ref. Obituary in his memorial album.
John B. Shields has a note to the effect that Cassius founded or was involved
in Hinckle Creek or Gray Friends meetings in Hamilton Co. In.
