In the 1900 census L.D. is living the next residence over from his mother and listed as a servant (among many - possibly a ranch hand as the servant is not the occupation, but the relationship to the head of household. The others are shepherders or farm laborers while L.D. is listed as attending school.).
S0254 - Came to the ranch i Madison Valley in 1894 with his parents. The ranch was known as the Valley Garden Ranch. During the early development of the power project in Madison Canyon he was employed by the Montana Power Co. In 1909 he attended the Sweeney Automobile School in Kansas City, Missouri. Madison Valley rancher until 1935. After his wife died he sold the family ranch and moved to Ennis becoming the Madison Valley road foreman until 1937, a post he held until he retired 12 years later.

William Wright's will
Will Book A of Franklin County, VA p.443 [spelling intact]
In the name of God, Amen. October the 10th day 1808. I William Wright of Franklin County am well in helth and of perfect sences and memory thanks be to God for his mercies and caling to mind the mortallity of man and that all men once must Die I do make constitute ordain and appoint this my last will and Testament in manner and form followeth: Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Enoch Wright all my land and plantation where I now live and all my Stock and furniture To him and his heirs for ever and the said Enoch shall find the said William with all things that is need full during his life. I likewise appoint my two sons James Wright and George Wright and Enoch Wright my whole and sole Executors and trustees of this my Last Will and Testament. Witness my hand and seal the day and year above written."
