Religion: Presbyterian Born 11/2/1817 according to some sources, but 11/10/17
in Shields family bible, on the gravestone, and later newspaper clipping.
Mary was youngest (six weeks old) of seven children when her parents move to
Johnson hill from the Johnson-White blockhouse built in 1815 on the Tippicanoe
trail, later know as old Harrison Road. She was the first European-American
born in In. north of Vincennes.
