The history of the Loomis family has been well documented. It is notalways found as Loomis, though, sometimes found as Loomas, Lumax,Loomax, Lummis, and other variations.
Samuel was listed as a member of a church in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT,in 1661. He was made freeman in 1654. Samuel later moved to Westfield,Mass. between 1672 and 1675.
