Betty E. Brubaker
Seville - Betty E. Brubaker, 95, of Seville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020 at the Apostolic Christian Home after a period of declining health.
Betty was born Oct. 28, 1925 near Sterling to the late Clifford and Elsie (VanSickle) Zigler and was a 1943 graduate of Seville High School. On March 24, 1945 she married Raymond E. Brubaker and he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 2018. Betty had been a bookkeeper having assisted her husband in the operation of his businesses, Ray's Sohio and later Ray's Automotive and had previously worked at the Ohio Farmers Insurance Co. and at the Ohio Injector. She had made her home in the Seville area all of her life and was a member of Seville Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her children, Elaine (Charles) Bornstein of Lancaster, PA and Jim (Christine) Brubaker of Seville; grandsons, Christopher, Matthew and Nathan and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Harold "Pete" and Robert Zigler and a sister, Lucille Shaw.
Private Family Services will be held at Friday, Dec. 18th at Seville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tricia Petraven officiating. The service will be livestreamed beginning at 10:00 a.m. through the Church's Facebook Page. Betty will be place with Ray at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery following the service.
