[12541] !I doubt very much, considering the ages of Margarite Mather and Elizabeth, that they were mother and daughter. Thomas and Margarite also had a son Richard who accompanied Elizabeth to New England and was about 22 years her senior, so I think it should be considered possible that Richard was Elizabeth's father rather than her brother, and that this would explain the disparity in Margarite's and Elizabeth's age
