"Mr. John Leo Mattingly, 64, a resident of Lebanon, died at the KentuckyState Hospital in Danville on Wednesday , January 8, 1975, at 7 a.m. Mr.Mattingly was the son of the late Clarence Jerome and Ida Frances CecilMattingly. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James Wicker ofHastings, Michigan; one son, John Leonard Mattingly of Hastings,Michigan; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Taylor, Miss Lizzie Mattingly, andMrs. John Cecil, all of Louisville; two brothers, Roy Mattingly ofBradfordsville and Thomas Cossie Mattingly of Louisville; and fivegrandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at theHoly Name of Mary Church in Calvary with burial in the Old LibertyCemetery. The Rev. Anthony Howard officiated at the services. The BobG. Massey Funeral Home, where a prayer service was held on Friday at 8p.m., was in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were Jack ArnoldGribbins, Jesse Tharp, Charles Stayton, Robert Stayton, Edgar Stayton,and James Roger Mattingly."
