9. Richard Warren, was born at Plymouth, in 1646, and died at
Middleborough, 23 January, 1696-7. Sometime afterthe close of King
Philip's War he removed with his family from Plymouth to Namasket, or the
"Middleborough purchast"--the favorite summer residence of the principal
Indian chiefs of New England--to occupyu the lands which had beengranted
to his father, and which were described as "5th lot, bounded with a white
oak marked and standing plain."
He M. Sarah ----------, to whom was granted the administration of his
estate, 18 March, 1696-7.

The inventory of Rechard Warren of Middleborough was taken 19 Feb. 1696/7
and on 10 March 1696/7 the widow SarahWarren was appointed
administratrix.
On 7 April 1711 John Warren of Scituate, son of Richard Warren, deceased,
sold to Samuel Warren his right in his father's house and land in
Middleborough.
On 4 June 1714 Josiah Torrey was appointed administration of the estate
of his brother Joseph Torrey.
On 8 Sept. 1714 the settlement went to brothers and sisters including
Sarah Ewer.
On 17 Nov 1714 John May and Anne May his wife of Plymouth sold to Samuel
Warren of Middleborough their share of her father Richard Warren's
estate.
On 14 Jan 1716/7 Joanna Warren of Barnstable sold to Samuel Warren of
Middleborough her share of her father Richard Warren's estate. On 29 Jan.
1717 Joanna Warren, now Joanna Bumpas, together with Saml Bumpas her
husband ack. the deed.
