Janet is survived by her husband of 34 years, Fred of Katy, TX; her daughter and her husband, Caitlin and Sean Graham of Quitman, TX; and two sisters and their husbands, Jill and Robert Peveto of Galveston, TX, and Gina and Glenn Jeans of Bethel Park, PA.
Janet graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 1978 and attended Lamar University studying accounting. Janet worked over 25 years performing book keeping / accounting duties for a variety of companies including the Port Arthur Country Club in Port Arthur, TX, First Republic Bank in Beaumont, TX, Regier Carr and Monroe C.P.As in Tulsa, OK, Echo Construction in Nederland, TX, and First Baptist Church in Katy, TX. Janet was extremely smart, witty, and brightened everyones day.
Janet and Fred were married on November 14, 1987. Janet was a devoted and loving mother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She volunteered as a homeroom mom and PTA treasurer. She was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church Katy serving with AWANAs and Vacation Bible Schools. She also served in the Gideons International Auxiliary.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel, in Katy, where a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Adams and Rev. Jon Hicks officiating. A Graveside Service will immediately follow at Katy Magnolia Cemetery. Following the Graveside service, there will be a reception held at Rudys Bar-B-Q located at 21799 Katy Freeway, Katy, TX 77450. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Janets life.
In lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Kingsland Baptist Church One Hope cancer support ministry and Gideons International.
