The following is a transcription of a portion of the diary of Lillie R.
(Baldwin) Brannon Richardson:
"J. M. Richardson died Feb. 22, 1944 at Springtown, Ark. and buried in the
Springtown Cemetery.
J. M. passed away at 12:30 midnight.
Ben. Sitton, Booker Sitton, Maude Sitton was with me at the time of J. M.
Richardson's passing away.
Mabel Edwards is the daughter of J. M. R. She was also with me at the time of
her father's death.
Tommie & Floy Long & Erve Long arrived at my place a few minutes after J. M.
had passed away."
Personal Interview with Floy Gertrude BRANNON Long on November 19, 1991:
J. M. RICHARDSON married first Margaret MAXWELL. They had two daughters -
Mabel and Helen RICHARDSON. They had three sons -Gordon, Guy and 'Buss'
RICHARDSON. They had another daughter who died at an early age from eating
Crayolas.
Mabel RICHARDSON married Howard EDWARDS. They lived near Highfill,
Arkansas. Their children were Bill, Dorothy and Ruby EDWARDS.
Helen RICHARDSON married twice (husband's names unknown). She lived in
Rochester, Minnesota. She had a daughter named Alice Marie UNKNOWN.
Guy RICHARDSON lived in California.
Gordon RICHARDSON lived in Parsons, Kansas. He had a daughter named
Margaret May RICHARDSON.
