with Rev. Peter Hobart, In 1635, with the first thirty settlers, drew
for their house lots September 18 of that year, and where he subsequently
had many othergrants of land.
David was made freeman, March 3 1646/1647
He moved to Bostonabout 1641 (admitted and granted a house lot,
September 27, 1641. On October 24, 1652, Sarah Phippeny of Boston, widow
of David Phippeny, late of Hingham, with her son Joseph Phippeny, also of
Boston sold the Hingham lot to Thomas Thaxter. On April 1645, David was
granted liberty of wharfing near the Milne Creek in Boston and was
appointed Constable.
In his will, David gave to wife Sarah his dwelling house and shop;
provided lots for Benjamin, Gamaliel, and George; named son-in-law Thom
as Yeo; son George Vickary; son Joseph Phippen to be executor or with
testator's wife; mentioned land in Hingham.[91502.ftw]
