Eleanor Sutton, wife of Sir Henry Beaumont, was a dau. of John Sutton,
Lord Dudley, by his wife Elizabeth Berkeley. After Beaumonts death in
1471 she m. George Stanley of Handsworth who lived with her at
Wednesbury. Stanley was escheator of Staffordshire 1469-70, Sheriff
1473-4, Justice of the Peace from 1485 until his death in 1508/9. He was
possibly a member of Parliament 1489-90, 1495-6, 1504. Eleanor, Lady
Beaumont died bef.Jan. 11, 1503.
