[12241] The original ancestral home in Switzerland was on the left side of the Aare river in the reginon known as landericht where records of them are found in nine small villages. There is a small village close up on the slopes of the Emmetnal known as Eggitt. On the side of a mountain up a steep road from the village church, a good one-fourth hour drive. On the lintel of the door of a small house found the date 1648, chiseled by a master hand. Beside this date on one side is J. B. on the other side A. S. This is said to mean Jacob Brenneman & Anna Steiner were the builders of the house.).
