Died on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
HAMON PECCHE, son and heir, was a minor at his father's death, hiscustody and marriage being granted, 1 January 1212/3, to Hugh de Boues. He appears to have reached man's estate in time to be associated with hisfamily connections in the armed opposition of the Barons to John (i). In1221 he did his service in the campaign against Biham, and served underthe Earl Marshal in the Welsh war of 1223, receiving in September 1225 a grant to maintain himself in the King's service. He was crossing the seaon duty for the King in 1230, and had protection to visit his landsabroad in 1232. In 1233 he was serving in the Welsh Marches. Later hewent on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, on which he died, probably in the summer of 1241. He married Eve, a foreigner, who survived him. [CompletePeerage X:334-5, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
