Henry De Beaumont of Folkingham, co Lincoln, 3rd Lord Beaumont, son and heir, was born in Brabant (during his mother's attendance on the Queen Consort Philippe) in 1340, and had consequently to be naturalized by Act of Parliament in 1351. He was summoned to Parliament as Baron from 14 Aug 1362. He m. to Margaret De Vere, dau of John de Vere, 7th Earl of Oxford (of Magna Charta Surety descent and descendant of Charlemagne), by Maud, dau of Bartholomew de Badlesmere, 1stLord Badlesmere (of Magna Charta Surety descent and descendant of Charlemagne). Henry de Beaumont, Lord had issue. She d. on 15 June 1398, and was bur. at Grey Friars', Newgate, London, with her third husband.

Gilbert de Tonebruge, who resided at Tonebruge and inherited all his father's lands in England, joined in the rebellion of Robert de Mowbray, Earl of Northumberland, but observing the king (William Rufus) upon the point of falling into an ambuscade, he relented, sought pardon, and saved his royal master. We find him subsequently, however, again in rebellion in the same reign and fortifying and losing his castle at Tunbridge. Hem. in 1113, Adeliza, dau. of the Earl of Cleremont, and had issue, Richard, his successor, Gilbert, Walter, Hervey, and Baldwin. Gilbert deTonebruge, who was a munificent benefactor to the church, was s. by his eldest son, Richard de Clare. Moses emigrated to America in 1682 with his brothers John and Benjamin and
sister Mary. He was unhappy in America and could not cope with the difficult
pioneer living conditions in Pennsylvania, and about 1685 he returned to
England where he lived out his life on the Mendenhall family estate, Marridge
Hill.
