The English Ancestry of New England Settlers Joshua and Anthony Fisher by Murtle Stevens Hyde and John Plummer, 1997, NEHGR Vol. 151, pg 178: 4. ANTHONY FISHER (William, Robert, John) was baptized 1 Feb. 1558/9 at Stradbroke, and he was buried 11 April 1640 at Syleham. He married at Fressingfield, 16 Oct. 1586, Marie Fiske, dau. of Nicholas and Johan (Crispe) Fiske of Laxfield nad Dennignton. Some of Marie's ancestry will be presented by Clifford L. Stott in "The Crispe Family of Laxfield, Suffolk; Ancestors of Anthony and Joshua Fisher of Dedham, Massachusetts," forth coming in the Register.
Anthony was named in various wills. In 1591 his father William mentioned that he had already given land to Anthony, and that other lands, in Syleham (among them Wignotts), should be Anthony's after his mother's death. Anthony and Mary's son John in 1636 gave annuities to his parents, as did their son Cornelius in 1638. After Anthony's death his widow Mary was appointed admin. of his estate, 19 April 1640.
