SIR GILES DAUBENEY, of South Ingleby, South Petherton, &c., son and heir,by 1st wife. On 14 October 1351 he had letters stating that, though bornout of the King's allegiance, he might nevertheless enjoy his inheritance. In Oct. he bought the manors of Kempton, Beds, and Tottenham, Middlesex from William Daubeney and Philippe his wife, for 200marks. Sheriff of Beds and Bucks, 1379-80. Knigt of the Shire for Somerset 1382, 1383 & 1384.
He married,soon after 5 January 1358/9, Alianore daughter of Sir Henry DEWILINGTON, of Umberleigh, Devon, Poulton, co. Gloucester, &c., by Isabel, daughter of Sir JohnDE WALESBREU, of Lamellen and Lancarfe, Cornwall. Hedied 24 June 1386, at Barrington, Somerset. His widow's dower was ordered to be assigned, 8 August 1386. She died 6 August 1400, and wasburied at Kempston. [Complete Peerage IV:97-8, (transcribed by DaveUtzinger)]
