Ambrose J. Finnegan died on May 27, 1957, at St. Mary's Hospital, Scranton, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania. According to his Death Certificate, he was born on July 11, 1885, at Olyphant, Pennsylvania, to James Finnegan and Catherine Roche. His usual occupation was Librarian for the Scranton Tribune. He was widowed at the time of his death, but his wife had been Geraldine Blewitt Finnegan. The informant on the Death Certificate was Edward B.
