Some claim she was Mary Burgess, dau. of John and Mary (Worden) Burgess
of Sandwich. However, that Mary Burgess m. Mathias Ellis son of Lt. John
and Elizabeth (Freeman) Ellis according to the Burgess Genealogy, 1997,
by K. W. Hiam, pg 78. The Ellis genealogy, NEHGR 119:262 says that
Matthias Ellis m. Mercy Nye, dau. of Benj. and Katherine (Tupper) Nye.
So it would appear that theassumption that Mary Burgess m. Manoah Ellis
may be correct.

He [Ralph de Toeni] m., between November 1232 and 1234, Pernel, daughter of Walter DE LACY (elder brother of Hugh, Earl of Ulster), presumably byhis wife Margaret, daughter of William DE BRIOUZE. He died about Michaelmas 1239 at sea. His widow, who was granted the custody of MaudCastle, 1247-20 June 1251 married, before 15 October 1256, Willian DE ST.OMER, and was living, 25 November 1288.
