Some of Thomas Mildenhall's children emigrated to America with William Penn in
1682 and settled in Pennsylvania. Most of Thomas' descendants acquired the
name "Mendenhall", both in America and England. However, some of the ones in
England still use the name "Mildenhall". Thomas was a Quaker and is said to
have been one of the earliest followers of the Quaker founder, George Fox.
Marridge Hill, where Thomas died, was the Mendenhall family estate in
Ramesbury Parish, Wiltshire, England. The Manor house is no longer standing.
