Four Score and Ten
The home of Mrs. Amanda Crain and her daughter, Charlotte, in Atlanta was
the scene for a most pleasant family gathering Monday afternoon March 11th.
The occasion was the 90th birthday of Amanda Crain, and the various members of
her family took it upon themselves a memorable one in the long and eventfull
life of this venerable lady. For several years Mrs. Crain has been confined
to her bed by the weight of years and illness, but through all her troubles,
she is bright and cheerful. Her daughter Lottie, makes her home with her and
although so cripples that she cannot walk, she does the housework and waits on
her mother, using a wheel chair, in which she gets about the house with re-
markable activity.
"Grandma" Crain as she is familiarly known to her family and friends is a
remarkable woman.
